is
about a musician searching for a key that unlocks the door to
critical acclaim and the appreciation of fans. An important clue
to the key's location is found in the words of an ancient scroll, "If
you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will
save you; if you do not bring forth what is within you, what
you do not bring forth will destroy you." The mission of Raining
Notes is to assist the performing songwriter "bring it forth." Excellent
songs are the key. Production, publishing and promotion the strategy.
Damn good music the result.

July
Our friends Delta Nove have just released their new album "Fire It Up." If you're a fan of this jam band or not, I highly recommend this new release by Bobby Easton, Dominic Feedam, and the guys. www.myspace.com/deltanoveband
It's funny how some songs attract the attention of the general public through song contests while others lend themselves to film/TV licensing. Once again, Woodrush has had their song "Road Trippin'" nominated for a major contest. The International Singer Songwriter Association will make their final decision for "Best Single of the Year" in the coming months. My money is on the band from Seattle. Good luck, you guys.
July is a work month for Raining Notes as we close down the rehearsal room in our present location.
June
Jesse's pick of the month goes to "Sicarus".The 5 piece metal band will sign with the
TV/film,gaming company Audiosocket. We expect to hear the group's awsome sound
used for background music in some major format soon.
We would like to answer a question that has been recently asked: Raining Notes is affiliated with ASCAP. Our company is owned by Jesse Peterssen and operated with the assistance of Ray Peterssen. If one looks up Raining Notes, Jesse is the sole publisher listed. In September, we will be moving to a totally web-based operation.

May
Raining Notes congratulates Brett Ryan Stewart for the fine review he received this month in Performing Songwriter Magazine. Brett hails from Carthage, TN and is in the final phases of completing his next album.
Promotions for our new best friend Robin Lee Rey are in full swing. A recent notice in our local Reader provided a send off for her new album.
Another friend of ours, Woodrush, is also nearing completion of their next album. If it shines as bright as their first, our favorite duo will have a hit on their hands.

March
We have good news! Our location is secure. Raining Notes
will remain in our offices for the foreseeable future. Jesse
Peterssen will continue running our service in addition to
our day to day operations.
The Retro Room welcomes Ficarus, a 4-piece group with
a singer, that will be rehearsing this month at our studio.
The Robin Lee Rey album is set for release in approximately
two weeks. Robin is currently on the road and heading for
SXSW.
Our friends Woodrush in Seattle are also nearing completion
of their sophmore effort, their second album since "So
Far From Home." Can't wait to hear it, you guys.

February
This month, Raining Notes will be setting our instruments down and leaving the stage. While we take five, we will be looking for a new venue. This doesn't mean that business as usual will be suspended. It's just a matter of finding a new location.
Time is on our side. In the coming weeks, photography will be the theme. We're looking forward to some great new photos of singer/songwriter and model Victoria Robertson, as well as pics of Robin Lee.
New listings from Music Row, Nashville are available bi-monthly. It is somewhat unfortunate that some of the most talented artists and songwriters are required to fit industry molds in order to gain radio play.
We will be attending the upcoming ASCAP conference again this year in April, and SXSW in March.

January 2008
The music business is slow to wake up after the New Year. Actual signs of life begin around the 15th of the month.
Kicking things off, Raining Notes is happy to announce that the new Darrell Deese album will be a two album combination under the title "Blood From A Rose."
The finishing touches for the new Robin Lee album "Sleep When I'm Dead" are almost completed. We are now in the mastering and cover design phase. Will that great photographer we know be part of the project? We hope so. Many thanks to Alan Sanderson at Strate Sound Studios.
Kudos to the Freddy Herrmann Project for securing a National MP3 Jukebox deal with Ecast.
One of the coolest open mics in town is at Portugalia in Ocean Beach, San Diego. Meistro Jefferson Jay has been drawing some fine singer/songwriter talent to the venue. Check it out.
